💥¿Quién eres? Vivo, trabajo y tengo un estudio en el área metropolitana de Toronto. Mi educación incluye un Diploma de Honores de la Facultad de Arte y Diseño de Ontario (OCADu) y una Maestría en Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Western.

¿A qué te dedicas? Mi trabajo basado en fotografías es el resultado de un proceso acumulativo de recopilación de rastros de intercambio entre personas, objetos y espacio. Conceptualmente hablando, me encuentro con mayor curiosidad por los momentos cotidianos que revelan una rutina, una compulsión o una ociosidad.

¿Influencias e inspiración? Algunos de los artistas más influyentes en mi práctica incluyen a Lewis Boltz, Paul Strand y Edward Weston. Su enfoque para capturar momentos cotidianos, su selección de temas y cómo usan y al mismo tiempo cuestionan la fotografía como medio es muy interesante para mí.

đź’ĄWho are you? I live, work, and have a studio within the Greater Toronto Area. My education includes an Honours Diploma from the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCADu) and a Masters of Fine Arts from Western University.

What do you do? My photo-based work is the result of an accretive process of collecting traces of exchange between people, objects, and space. Conceptually speaking, I find myself most curious about everyday moments that disclose a routine, compulsion, or idleness. 

Influences and inspiration? Some of the most influential artists in my practice include Lewis Boltz, Paul Strand, and Edward Weston. Their approach to capturing everyday moments, their selection of subject matter, and how they both use and at the same time question photography as a medium is very interesting to me.

 âś¨ @ypatia_kornarou has Pop Sonality!  ✨ Pop Sonality: How do you feel when you see a great find for a photo? How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Ypatia Kornarou: Because of social media and the internet in general, photo viewing is a condition we have to deal with every day. In the “age of the image” the difficult thing is to discover qualitative “visual field” invested with an interesting narrative. When finally a photograph can and does contain the elements, the motif that will give it an interesting identity then the feeling is one of surprise and relief about the art of photography.  đźŽ„ @manolislioudakis has the Pop Sonality!  Who are you? Hello, I’m Manolis. I’m from the greek island, Crete. I live there and I’m the owner and chef of a restaurant.  What do you do? Photography is the way I have chosen to communicate with people around me. I can’t tell if I succeed on it or if I can inspire someone through my photos. I usually post my work on social media without any description, leaving them open to any interpretation. I try to give my photos an emotional sense so that the viewer can create their own story with them, without me having to guide them.  Influences and inspiration: The first photographer I was into and inspired me to pick up a camera on my own was Ren Hang. Later, enjoying the local photography group I learned many great photographers who shaped my artistic perspective. But since I’m just a person after all, I spend also a lot of time on social media and I love a lot of photographers that Wikipedia doesn’t write about.
