馃嚤馃嚮 Who are you? I am a photographer, artist, cultural worker from Riga, Latvia.


What do you do? I try to capture the beauty of the boring everyday. I like marginal things, things that most people don't consider worth of attention.


Influences and inspiration: Outsiders, long walks, bad art, road trips, wandering, good wine, music & weed.

¿Qu茅 haces? Trato de capturar la belleza de lo aburrido todos los d铆as. Me gustan las cosas marginales, cosas que la mayor铆a de la gente no considera dignas de atenci贸n.


Influencias e inspiraci贸n: los outsiders, las largas caminatas, el arte malo, los viajes por carretera, deambular, el buen vino, la m煤sica y la hierba.

How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Ypatia Kornarou: Because of social media and the internet in general, photo viewing is a condition we have to deal with every day. In the “age of the image” the difficult thing is to discover qualitative “visual field” invested with an interesting narrative. When finally a photograph can and does contain the elements, the motif that will give it an interesting identity then the feeling is one of surprise and relief about the art of photography. How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Dimitra Kitsiou: I keep seeing “photos” and “frames” everywhere.  Frequently, I see the “frame” first and then the reality as if everything exists to end up in a photo.  Perversion? Maybe!
