馃ゥ Who are you? My name is Jenna. I'm a producer, videographer, and photographer from the midwest, U.S.


What do you do? I capture people, places, and things I find interesting and exciting - mostly with 35mm film.


Influences and inspiration: I'm always excited by how shape and color will interact within a frame. When shooting people, I'm always trying to capture authenticity, even in a staged situation. Some photographers I admire are Larry Sultan, Nadia Lee Cohen, and Gigi Laub. I'm also heavily influenced by movies (be my friend on Letterboxed).

¿Qu茅 haces? Capturo personas, lugares y cosas que encuentro interesantes y emocionantes, principalmente con pel铆cula de 35 mm.


Influencias e inspiraci贸n: siempre me emociona c贸mo interact煤an la forma y el color dentro de un marco. Cuando fotograf铆o personas, siempre trato de capturar la autenticidad, incluso en una situaci贸n escenificada. Algunos fot贸grafos que admiro son Larry Sultan, Nadia Lee Cohen y Gigi Laub. Tambi茅n estoy muy influenciada por las pel铆culas (s茅 mi amigo en Letterboxed).

How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Ypatia Kornarou: Because of social media and the internet in general, photo viewing is a condition we have to deal with every day. In the “age of the image” the difficult thing is to discover qualitative “visual field” invested with an interesting narrative. When finally a photograph can and does contain the elements, the motif that will give it an interesting identity then the feeling is one of surprise and relief about the art of photography. How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Dimitra Kitsiou: I keep seeing “photos” and “frames” everywhere.  Frequently, I see the “frame” first and then the reality as if everything exists to end up in a photo.  Perversion? Maybe!
