Who are you?
“My work is an ongoing conversation with myself. It’s about exploring the many layers of my inner world—the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that make me who I am. Each piece is a way for me to process and reflect on those layers, sometimes consciously and sometimes through more intuitive or subconscious means. “
What do you do?
“I’m an artist working across mediums—clay, acrylics, wood, and photography—drawing inspiration from my emotions and surroundings.
Influences and inspiration:
“My influences are quite diverse, ranging from kinetic artists like Cruz-Diez, Vasarely, and Bridget Riley, whose work with movement and color has deeply inspired my approach to art. In photography, I admire portrait photographers such as Arnold Newman, Yusuf Karsh, and Annie Leibovitz for their mastery in capturing the essence of their subjects with such depth and emotion.
Another huge source of inspiration for me is my husband @itscarlosocando , who is also a photographer. His creativity and dedication inspire me every day to push my own boundaries. Additionally, I had the privilege of learning from Albert Frangieh, who taught me the importance of aesthetics in fine art photography and instilled in me the value of continual learning. His mentorship has had a lasting impact on my work and approach to photography.”
