✨ Pop Sonality: How do you feel when you see a great find for a photo? How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?

James Brouwer: Hey! Yes that sounds great. thanks! How do I feel when I find a good subject matter? Well, some things are less obvious. You have a slight visual sense of that some thing or some arrangement of things will work. So I take a bunch of pics from different angles and see what works with cropping and other adjustments. But some subject matter is obviously killer, so you run around taking lots of photos as quick as you can. This one I took in a playground and I had to be quick before kids came. 

✨ Pop Sonality: ¿Cómo te sientes cuando ves un gran hallazgo para una foto? ¿Cómo te hace sentir ver lo que sabes que es un buen motivo para una fotografía?

James Brouwer: ¡Ey! Sí, eso suena genial. ¡gracias! ¿Cómo me siento cuando encuentro un buen tema? Bueno, algunas cosas son menos obvias. Tienes una ligera sensación visual de que algo o algún arreglo de cosas funcionará. Así que tomo un montón de fotografías desde diferentes ángulos y veo qué funciona con el recorte y otros ajustes. Pero algunos temas son obviamente mortales, por lo que corres tomando muchas fotos lo más rápido que puedes. Ésta lo tomé en un parque infantil y tuve que ser rápido antes de que llegaran los niños.

How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Dimitra Kitsiou: I keep seeing “photos” and “frames” everywhere.  Frequently, I see the “frame” first and then the reality as if everything exists to end up in a photo.  Perversion? Maybe!
