✨ Pop Sonality: How do you feel when you see a great find for a photo? How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?
Cynthia Ortu: Finding something I want to capture is kind of an eternal waltz between excitement and disappointment for me. I’d usually find an element I like and stretch the idea as long as I can enjoy it. But sometimes, I’d come across the perfect concordance between light, colors, and textures, and start lurking around to capture any angle and framing options, feeling quite excited for a moment. Then I’d have to catch up with whoever was walking with me and left 5 minutes ago, convinced I just missed the shot of my life and failed to get the version I wanted of it.
✨ Pop Sonality: ¿Cómo te sientes cuando ves un gran hallazgo para una foto? ¿Cómo te hace sentir ver lo que sabes que es un buen motivo para una fotografía?
Cynthia Ortu: Encontrar algo que quiero capturar es para mí una especie de vals eterno entre la emoción y la decepción. Normalmente encuentro un elemento que me gusta y amplío la idea siempre que pueda disfrutarla. Pero a veces, me encontraba con la concordancia perfecta entre luz, colores y texturas, y comenzaba a acechar para capturar cualquier ángulo y opción de encuadre, sintiéndome bastante emocionado por un momento. Entonces tendría que alcanzar a quien caminaba conmigo y se fue hace 5 minutos, convencido de que perdí el tiro de mi vida y no pude obtener la versión que quería.
