Who am I? I became an artist, unexpectedly in 2020, after a life-changing event. In a time when words failed me, I found my voice in photography. Since then, I’ve been creating (unplanned) photo series. 

What do I do? FineArt Photography. My LONESOME ASTRONAUT is my 4th photo series. The anonymous astronaut could be any one of us: in the midst of it all, yet feeling alone. A feeling that probably every one of us knows, regardless of age, gender or origin. It’s about the paradox of growing loneliness in an increasingly interconnected world. It’s about life and loss, about perception, social interaction and alienation. It’s about every day life these days. No location is chosen at random or by beauty. Every motif is part of my very personal journey. Seeing how people of all ages perceive and interpret the LONESOME ASTRONAUT in exhibitions, or find themselves reflected in it, touches me deeply. It's both beautiful and sad. These moments and feelings connect us.

Influences and inspiration: Daily life. I actually dreamed of the astronaut and had to realize that picture that was in my head in the morning. That was in 2021. The astronaut has been traveling ever since.

¿Quién soy? Me convertí en artista, de manera inesperada, en 2020, después de un acontecimiento que cambió mi vida. En un momento en que las palabras me fallaron, encontré mi voz en la fotografía. Desde entonces, he estado creando series fotográficas (no planeadas).


¿Qué hago? Fotografía Fine Art. Mi LONESOME ASTRONAUT (Astronauta Solitario) es mi cuarta serie fotográfica. El astronauta anónimo podría ser cualquiera de nosotros: en medio de todo, pero sintiéndose solo. Una sensación que probablemente todos conocemos, sin importar la edad, el género o el origen. Trata sobre la paradoja de una soledad creciente en un mundo cada vez más interconectado. Habla de la vida y la pérdida, de la percepción, de la interacción social y de la alienación. Habla de la vida cotidiana en estos tiempos.


Ninguna ubicación es elegida al azar ni por su belleza. Cada motivo forma parte de mi viaje personal. Ver cómo personas de todas las edades perciben e interpretan al LONESOME ASTRONAUT en las exposiciones, o se ven reflejadas en él, me conmueve profundamente. Es algo hermoso y triste a la vez. Estos momentos y sentimientos nos conectan.


Influencias e inspiración: la vida diaria. En realidad, soñé con el astronauta y tuve que materializar esa imagen que estaba en mi cabeza al despertar. Eso fue en 2021. Desde entonces, el astronauta ha estado viajando.

 🎄 @manolislioudakis has the Pop Sonality!  Who are you? Hello, I’m Manolis. I’m from the greek island, Crete. I live there and I’m the owner and chef of a restaurant.  What do you do? Photography is the way I have chosen to communicate with people around me. I can’t tell if I succeed on it or if I can inspire someone through my photos. I usually post my work on social media without any description, leaving them open to any interpretation. I try to give my photos an emotional sense so that the viewer can create their own story with them, without me having to guide them.  Influences and inspiration: The first photographer I was into and inspired me to pick up a camera on my own was Ren Hang. Later, enjoying the local photography group I learned many great photographers who shaped my artistic perspective. But since I’m just a person after all, I spend also a lot of time on social media and I love a lot of photographers that Wikipedia doesn’t write about.
