☀️ ¿Quién eres? Soy maestro de escuela primaria, padre de tres hijos y abuelo. Vivo en Perea, un suburbio de Salónica, Grecia.

 

¿Qué haces? Hago fotografía pura/directa. Desde hace más de 20 años tomo fotografías casi todos los días, descubriendo las cualidades de la luz, experimentando y agudizando mi percepción visual. Uso mi cámara no como una fotocopiadora sino como un espejo, una herramienta que me puede dar la capacidad de hablar sobre mí mismo usando partes del mundo que me rodea.

 

Influencias e inspiración: Mis influencias provienen de varios campos del arte, no solo de las artes visuales sino también de la música o la poesía. La cultura en general, las vivencias, los recuerdos, la estética, todo ello se inmiscuye y trabaja en silencio en un segundo plano. Es un proceso fascinante y revelador que siempre encuentra formas de sorprenderme.

☀️ Who are you? I am a primary school teacher, a father of three and a grandfather. I live in Perea, a suburb of Thessaloniki, Greece.  

 

What do you do? I do pure/straight photography. For more than 20 years I 'm taking pictures on an almost every day basis, discovering the qualities of the light, experimenting and sharpening my visual perception. I use my camera not as a photocopier but as a mirror, a tool that can give me the ability to speak about myself by using pieces of the world around me. 

 

Influences and inspiration: My influences come from various fields of art, not only from visual arts but music or poetry as well. Culture in general, experiences, memories, aesthetics, they all meddle and work silently in the background. It is a fascinating and revealing process that always finds ways to surprise me.
