¿Qué haces? Soy una artista de técnica mixta cuyos collages contemplan el género, la memoria y la pertenencia. Combino lo efímero con abstracciones y con el caos visual.


Influencias e inspiración: las influencias incluyen el plenarismo, arte dadaísta, y la fotografía. Me inspiro en la mundanidad moderna y encuentro potencial en las cosas que la mayoría de la gente pasa por alto.

What do you do? I'm a mixed media artist whose collages contemplate gender, memory, belonging. I combine ephemera with abstractions and visual chaos.


Influences and inspiration: Influences include plein air, Dada art, photography; I'm inspired by modern mundanities and find potential in things most people overlook.

How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Ypatia Kornarou: Because of social media and the internet in general, photo viewing is a condition we have to deal with every day. In the “age of the image” the difficult thing is to discover qualitative “visual field” invested with an interesting narrative. When finally a photograph can and does contain the elements, the motif that will give it an interesting identity then the feeling is one of surprise and relief about the art of photography. How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Dimitra Kitsiou: I keep seeing “photos” and “frames” everywhere.  Frequently, I see the “frame” first and then the reality as if everything exists to end up in a photo.  Perversion? Maybe!
