✂️ Who are you? I’m Joe Bertino, an artist from Brooklyn, NY obsessed with all forms of media mashup. I’m drawn towards the intense as well as the orderly.
What do you do? I use art as both therapy and a means to communicate macro social trends. I seek to strengthen my application of collage as a tool to alert the masses. So I am always practicing my trade.
Influences and inspiration: The avant-garde, the irreverent, the pioneers. Bands like The Books, Girl Talk, Cindy Lee. Artists like Jeff Koons and Julie Mehretu. Most often, I just follow the random connections my brain makes between things and pull it all together, order from the chaos.
