My collages are based on  serendipity, nostalgia and memory. I work almost exclusively with vintage ephemera and papers.I am a creative ‘hunter gatherer’ and I am always on the lookout for collage materials from things I find abandoned in the street, to rummaging in vintage markets and thrift stores. My work is often rooted in the feminine and is an ongoing exploration of how women are represented. Influences and inspiration: I find old magazines such as Paris Match, National Geographic and Illustrated Weekly a source of inspiration, as well as old knitting patterns, sewing patterns, cookery books and housekeeping manuals.
