💥¿Quién eres? Mi nombre es Dimitra Kitsiou y vivo en Atenas, Grecia.

¿Qué haces? Trabajo como consultora independiente y directora de proyectos y fotografío mucho. ¡Mi primer fotolibro "Trayectorias inversas" se publicó en diciembre de 2021!

Influencias e inspiración: Siempre en busca de redescubrir la belleza, me inspiran la luz, el espacio, las cosas cotidianas y la gran literatura. Me gusta el trabajo de muchos fotógrafos, entre los que se encuentran Masao Yamamoto, Harry Callahan y Andre Kertesz.

💥Who are you? My name is Dimitra Kitsiou, and I live in Athens, Greece

What do you do? I work as a freelance consultant and project manager and I photograph a lot!  My first photobook "Inverse Trajectories" was published in December 2021!

Influences and inspiration: Always searching to rediscover beauty, I am inspired by light, space, everyday things, and great literature.  I like the work of many photographers among which Masao Yamamoto, Harry Callahan, and Andre Kertesz.

How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Ypatia Kornarou: Because of social media and the internet in general, photo viewing is a condition we have to deal with every day. In the “age of the image” the difficult thing is to discover qualitative “visual field” invested with an interesting narrative. When finally a photograph can and does contain the elements, the motif that will give it an interesting identity then the feeling is one of surprise and relief about the art of photography. How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Dimitra Kitsiou: I keep seeing “photos” and “frames” everywhere.  Frequently, I see the “frame” first and then the reality as if everything exists to end up in a photo.  Perversion? Maybe! I don’t have preferred motifs, it’s the mood of the moment and the manner, not the subject, that make the photo; and the light.  The moment when what I “see” becomes an image is a moment of profound joy. ✨ Pop Sonality: ¿Cómo te sientes cuando ves un gran hallazgo para una foto? ¿Cómo te hace sentir ver lo que sabes que es un buen motivo para una fotografía?
