馃崜 ¿Qui茅n eres? Soy Bea Calzadilla, una mujer afortunada de ser qui茅n soy gracias a lo que he vivido, de las personas que he conocido, y de poder expresarme con mis capturas.

¿Qu茅 haces? Aprendo constantemente a contar historias y transmitir buenas sensaciones a trav茅s de mi gran pasi贸n, la fotograf铆a, siendo siempre yo misma mientras miro, veo y siento cada instante. El retrato y el fotoperiodismo, mis dos angulares.


Influences and inspiration: Mi mayor inspiraci贸n, el amor en todas sus manifestaciones y la vida. Como influencias destacar铆a a Sally Mann, Steven McCurry, Peter Lindberg, Andr茅s Guti茅rrez y Pablo Durango.

馃崜 Who are you? I am Bea Calzadilla. I consider myself a lucky woman being who I am thanks to what I have lived through and experienced, the people I know, and to be able to express myself with my captures.


What do you do? I am constantly learning to tell stories and transmit good feelings through my great passion: photography. I’m always being myself while I’m looking at, loyal to myself in the way I see and feel every moment. The portrait and photojournalism are my two cornerstones.


Influences and inspiration: My greatest inspirations are love in all its manifestations, and life. As influences I would highlight Sally Mann, Steven McCurry, Peter Lindberg, Andr茅s Guti茅rrez and Pablo Durango.

How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Ypatia Kornarou: Because of social media and the internet in general, photo viewing is a condition we have to deal with every day. In the “age of the image” the difficult thing is to discover qualitative “visual field” invested with an interesting narrative. When finally a photograph can and does contain the elements, the motif that will give it an interesting identity then the feeling is one of surprise and relief about the art of photography. How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Dimitra Kitsiou: I keep seeing “photos” and “frames” everywhere.  Frequently, I see the “frame” first and then the reality as if everything exists to end up in a photo.  Perversion? Maybe!
