🖼️ Who are you? My name is Ivalina Dakova. I was born in Bulgaria, but I live and work in Athens, Greece.


What do you do? I have been working with photography since 2012. Photography for me is something very personal and internal. 


Influences and inspiration: I get inspiration from various sources, from movies, music, poetry, painting, and others. I really like photographing people, connecting with them in an almost magical way, and the result just happens.


🖼️ ¿Quién eres? Mi nombre es Ivalina Dakova. Nací en Bulgaria, pero vivo y trabajo en Atenas, Grecia.


¿Qué haces? Trabajo con fotografía desde 2012. La fotografía para mí es algo muy personal e interno.


Influencias e inspiración: Me inspiro en diversas fuentes, en películas, música, poesía, pintura y otras. Me gusta mucho fotografiar personas, conectar con ellas de una manera casi mágica y el resultado simplemente sucede.

How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Ypatia Kornarou: Because of social media and the internet in general, photo viewing is a condition we have to deal with every day. In the “age of the image” the difficult thing is to discover qualitative “visual field” invested with an interesting narrative. When finally a photograph can and does contain the elements, the motif that will give it an interesting identity then the feeling is one of surprise and relief about the art of photography. How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Dimitra Kitsiou: I keep seeing “photos” and “frames” everywhere.  Frequently, I see the “frame” first and then the reality as if everything exists to end up in a photo.  Perversion? Maybe!
