馃獮 Who are you? I am Jake Kennedy, aka Butternut Collage, a collage artist working in the south part of the UK with paper and scissors (usually).


What do you do? I take old magazines, adverts, books, scraps, and turn them into things that are ugly/beautiful (usually).


Influences and inspiration: I'm influenced by paper of all kinds, music, books, many many other collage artists, silly things people say and my own internal dialogue (usually).


馃獮 ¿Qui茅n eres? Soy Jake Kennedy, tambi茅n conocido como Butternut Collage, un artista de collage que trabaja en el sur del Reino Unido con papel y tijeras (normalmente).


¿Qu茅 haces? Tomo revistas viejas, anuncios, libros, recortes y los convierto en cosas que son feas/hermosas (normalmente).


Influencias e inspiraci贸n: Estoy influenciado por papel de todo tipo, m煤sica, libros, muchos otros artistas del collage, tonter铆as que dice la gente y mi propio di谩logo interno (normalmente).

How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Ypatia Kornarou: Because of social media and the internet in general, photo viewing is a condition we have to deal with every day. In the “age of the image” the difficult thing is to discover qualitative “visual field” invested with an interesting narrative. When finally a photograph can and does contain the elements, the motif that will give it an interesting identity then the feeling is one of surprise and relief about the art of photography. How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Dimitra Kitsiou: I keep seeing “photos” and “frames” everywhere.  Frequently, I see the “frame” first and then the reality as if everything exists to end up in a photo.  Perversion? Maybe!
