馃摳 Who are you? My name is Marina Marinkovic and I am a photographer from the Netherlands.

What do you do? I love making documentary photoseries and portraits on location. And recently I started to explore more conceptual approaches to subjects close to my heart.


Influences and inspiration: Individuality, vulnerability and inner strength intrigue me. I love diving into seemingly small subjects that somehow move me. I am in awe of photographers like Joan Colom and Nicole Segers who combine documenting and with a strong personal visual signature.

¿Qu茅 haces? Me encanta hacer fotoseries documentales, y retratos en exteriores. Y recientemente comenc茅 a explorar enfoques m谩s conceptuales sobre temas cercanos a mi coraz贸n.


Influencias e inspiraci贸n: La individualidad, la vulnerabilidad y la fuerza interior me intrigan. Me encanta sumergirme en temas aparentemente peque帽os que de alguna manera me conmueven. How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Ypatia Kornarou: Because of social media and the internet in general, photo viewing is a condition we have to deal with every day. In the “age of the image” the difficult thing is to discover qualitative “visual field” invested with an interesting narrative. When finally a photograph can and does contain the elements, the motif that will give it an interesting identity then the feeling is one of surprise and relief about the art of photography. How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Dimitra Kitsiou: I keep seeing “photos” and “frames” everywhere.  Frequently, I see the “frame” first and then the reality as if everything exists to end up in a photo.  Perversion? Maybe!
