🌺 Who are you? My name is Rita Lappalainen and I am a Finnish born photographer and artist currently based in Ireland.


What do you do? I photograph odd beauty and moments around me and in places I visit. I mix various styles and techniques to experiment and create images between dream and reality. I also work on personal projects and lately started to explore portraiture.


Influences and inspiration: Since childhood I have had a huge love for nature and animals. I do also draw my inspiration from folklore, mythology, fairytales, theatre, music and cinema. I admire a lot of artists but the biggest influences on me have been Sven Nykvist's cinematography and Tove Jansson's wonderful world of Moomins!


🌺 ¿Quién eres? Mi nombre es Rita Lappalainen y soy una fotógrafa y artista finlandesa que actualmente reside en Irlanda.


¿Qué haces? Fotografío bellezas y momentos extraños a mi alrededor y en los lugares que visito. Mezclo varios estilos y técnicas para experimentar y crear imágenes entre el sueño y la realidad. También trabajo en proyectos personales y últimamente comencé a explorar el retrato.


Influencias e inspiración: Desde pequeña he sentido un amor enorme por la naturaleza y los animales. También me inspiro en el folclore, la mitología, los cuentos de hadas, el teatro, la música y el cine. Admiro a muchos artistas, pero las mayores influencias para mí han sido la cinematografía de Sven Nykvist y el maravilloso mundo de los Moomins de Tove Jansson.

How does it make you feel to see what you know is a good motif for a photograph?  Ypatia Kornarou: Because of social media and the internet in general, photo viewing is a condition we have to deal with every day. In the “age of the image” the difficult thing is to discover qualitative “visual field” invested with an interesting narrative. When finally a photograph can and does contain the elements, the motif that will give it an interesting identity then the feeling is one of surprise and relief about the art of photography.  🎄 @manolislioudakis has the Pop Sonality!  Who are you? Hello, I’m Manolis. I’m from the greek island, Crete. I live there and I’m the owner and chef of a restaurant.  What do you do? Photography is the way I have chosen to communicate with people around me. I can’t tell if I succeed on it or if I can inspire someone through my photos. I usually post my work on social media without any description, leaving them open to any interpretation. I try to give my photos an emotional sense so that the viewer can create their own story with them, without me having to guide them.  Influences and inspiration: The first photographer I was into and inspired me to pick up a camera on my own was Ren Hang. Later, enjoying the local photography group I learned many great photographers who shaped my artistic perspective. But since I’m just a person after all, I spend also a lot of time on social media and I love a lot of photographers that Wikipedia doesn’t write about.
