馃挜 The Celebration Tour is a tailor-made spectacle for Madonna to show off. She looks so beautiful, and her voice is so exciting, full of emotions! The clothing styles are flattering and so are the hairstyles. The photography, the lights, the staging, everything works in her favor. It is an amazing journey telling her life through her songs. It is very American and very flashy, much more dynamic than her previous tours in that sense, probably influenced by the Tik Tok trends, or because it’s just hard to condense her whole life career in “a short time”. There was a technical failure at the beginning set with the sound that she managed to save professionally and mostly humanly as always. She pays tribute to herself, as an act of love to her person, to her legacy and to her history. She also remembers her contemporary icons Michael Jackson and Prince (among others)! Her mum also had a huge presence. Heartily. Bob serves as the narrator and the queer voice of the show. And flags aside, in general her discourse is still about love and freedom. Without fear. Flags just blur her important message. She is very reminiscent of Monroe in the image of her (hairstyle, make up, clothing designs), and we already know how well that suits Madonna. She is quite present, she is always on stage, or almost. She enjoys the moment, and her family that is part of the celebration too. Impeccable voice, and incredible surprises in the set list. We dived into the joy (and sadness) of the 80s, her “controversial” sex and religious imagery, and her always on point personal fights to defend her artistic expression, and freedom. Iconic! “Nothing really matters, love is all we need”, thanks strong and witty Madonna. You have been touching my brain and my heart my whole life. I thank you for that. Last night, you once more moved my soul. I feel blessed to have you as an influence in my own path. I love you.
